The F6217 is an 8-channel analog input module from HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH. It is a safety-related module that can be used in applications where it is important to prevent hazardous situations from occurring. The module is certified to SIL 3 according to EN 62061 and is therefore suitable for use in a wide range of safety-critical applications.

Product Description 

 The modular HIMatrix F60 system is composed of a subrack and various modules inserted in the subrack slots. Slots 1 and 2 are reserved, all remaining slots can be freely occupied: 

 ƒ The wide slot 1 is always occupied with the power supply module (PS 01). 

 ƒ Slot 2 is always occupied with the CPU module (CPU 01). 

 ƒ The remaining slots can be freely occupied with all remaining module types.

The System Scope

Scope The safety-related HIMax controllers are certified for use in process controllers, protective systems, burner systems and machine controllers. All HIMax input and output modules (I/O modules) can be operated with an individual processor module or with several redundant processor modules. When implementing safety-related communications between various devices, ensure that the overall response time does not exceed the fault tolerance time. All calculations must be performed in accordance with the rules specified in Safety Manual HI 800 003 E. Only connect devices with safe electrical isolation to the communications interfaces.
