GENERAL
The Optical ESB Bus Repeater Module converts ESB Bus signals, facilitating communication between the safety control unit, safety node unit, and N-IO node, into optical signals. It extends the ESB Bus transmission distance by connecting the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Module (SNT411) and Optical ESB Bus Repeater Slave Module (SNT511) with an optical fiber cable. This extension allows for transmission distances of up to 50 km.
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:
Function: ESB Bus optical transport function (Vnet/IP only)
Connection Method: Star type connection, Chain type connection (Available for both star and chain type connection)
Number of Connecting Stages: Maximum two
Transmission Distance: 5 km to 50 km (total two stages)
Optical Power Attenuation: 3-4 dB attenuation between SNT411 and SNT511, S2EN501 and SNT511, or SNT411 and S2EN501. If the optical attenuation by the optical fiber cable is less than 3 dB, an attenuator should be used to reduce the attenuation by 3 dB.

Overview
The CS3000 software requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later versions (including Windows 98 or Windows NT). Make sure Windows is installed and configured on your personal computer before attempting to install the CS3000 software
Before installing and using the CS3000 software make sure you have the following hardware:
• An IBM or IBM-compatible 486 or Pentium personal computer running Windows 3.1, Windows 98, or Windows NT.
• 16 Mbytes of RAM (minimum)
• A hard drive with at least 1 Mbytes free space available for the CS3000 software
• A 3.5" floppy drive
• A Monochrome or color monitor: VGA or better
• An RS-232 serial COM port for communicating with the drive
• An RS-232 serial cable with:
• A 25-pin or 9-pin D-shell connector for your personal computer
• A 9-pin or 25-pin male D-shell connector for the drive.
The GV3000 drive is equipped with a terminal strip as well as a 9-pin D-shell connector. Either one can be used to connect to the personal computer. Refer to section 2.3.1 for additional information.
